There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. (1 Corinthians 12:4-5)
Orthodox Women’s Ministry is aimed to meet the needs of women (and laity in effect) in the Christian Orthodox Church globally according to our Trinitarian faith in a modern world. Each baptized member has been granted a divine gift through the grace of the Holy Trinity to edify and build up the Body of Christ- the Church, through the work of their ministries. It is in these diversified gifts and ministries in the same Lord that OWM purposes to guide each member in discovering these very gifts in order to enable and empower each person to their full potential in the life of Christ and in the life of the Church.
The OWM website will function primarily as a resource center for women in providing practical life-guide tools vis-à-vis through a blog, book references, and open discussions. The resource center will discuss the role of women in the workplace, women as teachers and mentors, the spiritual motherhood in the Church, women as contributors of society, understanding authentic relationships and family life, and much more.
